In support of the Alzheimer’s Association, Springhouse Senior Living holds their own annual walk. We have done this for 7 years. Our walk took place on Thursday, September 24th and the weather was beautiful! We had 25 walkers including residents and pets from Assisted Living, Independent Living and Allen House—plus many more in the cheering section. Funds were raised by selling purple beaded bracelets and hand painted pins created by Springhouse artist and staff member, JoAnne Faer. We have raised over $750 to date.
Nationwide the Alzheimer’s Associations “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide with more than 450,000 participants. Springhouse knows the importance of shedding light on this disease and hoping to push it to the fore front of politicians and medical research companies policies and future research.
Thank you to everyone who supported Springhouse and the Alzheimer’s Association. If you would like to donate to the Springhouse Walk please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
