Creative Writing with Bailey

Springhouse residents in Allen House and Assisted Living at Ledgemont have their creative juices flowing thanks to two new Expressive Therapy groups lead by intern, Bailey McCombs. A masters-level student attending Lesley University’s Expressive Arts Therapy and Mental Health Counseling program, Bailey’s work at Springhouse has primarily focused on creative writing, specifically poetry.

It all started with a simple conversation, Karen Pollack, Director of Community Relations, had with Dr. Elinor “Fuzzy” Downs regarding her upcoming 106th birthday. Karen met with Fuzzy in early August to inquire what she wanted for her big birthday.
